This review is from the perspective of a novice shooter who is just beginning to explore the discipline. My opinions and experiences are my own and may not reflect those of a more polished, experienced shooter.
In the interest of full transparency, this holster was sent to me by CrossBreed for review. As always, my goal is to provide educational content for new shooters or those just beginning their CCW experience, with a focus on balancing budget and quality. Any relationship I may have with manufacturer will be established from the beginning of a review and will not affect my final thoughts.

CrossBreed Holsters SnapSlide OWB Hybrid Holster for Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0
CrossBreed Confidant Multi-fit Mag Carrier 2.0
Ergonomics & Comfort – Like a Hug, But for Your Gun
First off, the hybrid design (leather backing, polymer shell) makes for an incredibly comfortable fit—like a well-worn baseball glove, but without the sweat stains and childhood nostalgia. The leather backing molds to your body over time, meaning it only gets better with wear. Right out of the box, it already felt miles ahead of those stiff, all-polymer OWB holsters that feel like they were designed by someone with a grudge against human anatomy.
That said, if you’re not used to OWB carry, you might spend the first few minutes wondering if everyone within a five-mile radius can see your gun. (Spoiler: they can’t.) The holster rides close to the body, offering decent concealment under a light jacket or untucked shirt.

Retention & Security – No Sudden Gymnastics Required
Retention is firm but reasonable—strong enough that you’re not going to launch your Bodyguard 2.0 into orbit when jogging to catch a green light, but not so aggressive that you need a crowbar to draw. The SnapSlide design keeps the holster snug against your body, relying on a tight, secure friction fit rather than a mechanical lock. It’s a more minimalist approach that still holds your firearm securely while allowing for a clean, efficient draw.
As for the Confidant Multi-fit Mag Carrier 2.0, I originally had concerns about its retention with wider double-stack magazines. However, after wearing it daily for a week with a double-stack 9mm mag, those worries were put to rest. It held steady throughout all my day-to-day activities—walking, sitting, driving, errands. You probably can’t do cartwheels in it (and I didn’t try), but for anything you’re likely to encounter in a normal day, it stays put and keeps your mag accessible. The ability to wear it IWB or OWB adds a nice layer of versatility, too.

Accessibility – Speed Without Sacrifice
Let’s talk draw speed. If you’re expecting full race-gun speeds out of an OWB holster, take a deep breath and lower your expectations. This isn’t meant for competition-level quick draws, but it does strike a nice balance between security and accessibility. The angle and placement are just right for a natural, efficient draw, and the open-top design means there’s no extra mechanism to fumble with.
Reholstering is also fairly easy—no awkward two-handed fumbles or bending at odd angles like you’re trying to appease the holster gods. Just a simple, guided insert. Reassuring. Simple. The way a holster should be.
Durability & Build – Made to Last
The polymer shell is rigid and well-formed, protecting the trigger guard and offering solid structure, while the leather backing is thick, high-quality, and doesn’t feel like it’ll give up on life anytime soon. The edges of the leather are cut smoothly, with no burrs. One minor suggestion for future improvement is that the innermost edge of the belt loops could benefit from some skiving, making it lie even flatter against your belt.
As with any leather-backed holster, you’ll want to give it a little time to break in. Expect a bit of initial stiffness, but nothing that a few days of wear won’t fix.
Final Verdict – A Worthy Addition to Your Carry Rotation
Overall, the CrossBreed SnapSlide OWB Hybrid Holster is an excellent option for those who prefer outside-the-waistband carry but don’t want to sacrifice comfort or security. The hybrid design makes for comfortable all-day wear, while the snug, minimalist SnapSlide style keeps your firearm secure without unnecessary bulk or complexity.
The Confidant Multi-fit Mag Carrier 2.0 is a versatile, sturdy addition to your loadout — especially if you’re running single-stack or stack-and-a-half mags. It’s comfortable, adaptable, and holds well, though double-stack users may want to test it for themselves to ensure they’re happy with the retention.
Would I recommend them? Absolutely. Just be prepared for a short break-in period, and maybe don’t expect deep concealment in your tightest summer tee.
Final Thoughts:
Comfortable, secure, and well-built. Just give them a little time to break in, and you’ll have a rock-solid OWB carry setup for your Bodyguard 2.0.
